Private Album is designed as a local-first private album app for photos, videos, GIFs, and web saves.
This policy explains what the app stores, which iOS permissions may be used, and how this support website works.
Private photos, videos, GIFs, album names, app settings, lock settings, browser-related app data, and local backup data are stored on your device as app data.
The app does not require a user account for the vault workflow.
When you choose to import media, iOS Photos permission controls what the app can access.
If a selected photo or video is stored only in iCloud, iOS may download the original before the app can import it. That download is handled by Apple according to your iCloud settings.
Face ID and Touch ID are handled by iOS. The app receives only the result of the authentication request, not your biometric data.
Local Network permission may be requested for local backup or transfer features. Browser features use network access when you visit websites.
App purchases and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
This website may use basic analytics to understand page visits and improve support content.
Analytics for this website is separate from the private media stored in the iOS app.
Private app data is local to the device. Deleting items inside the app or deleting the app from iOS may remove local vault data.
Create a backup before deleting the app if you want to keep your private album data.
The built-in browser can open third-party websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices and are not controlled by Private Album.
